The three members of the independent extradition review team (Right Honourable Sir Scott Baker, David Perry QC and Anand Doobay) had an opportunity to explain the findings from their year-long review. Amy Jeffress, Jago Russell and Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas provided insights on UK extradition from the perspectives, respectively, of the US Department of Justice, the NGO Fair Trials International and the world of legal academia.

With the direction of panel chairman Professor Peter Alldridge, accompanied by some poignant and challenging questions and comments from the audience, the panel debate was a lively and insightful affair.

Michael O’Kane, Partner and Head of Business Crime Department at Peters & Peters said “this is the first of several events to be hosted by Peters & Peters in partnership with Queen Mary, University of London’s Criminal Justice Centre, and we are delighted that the evening was such a thoroughly stimulating and thought provoking event”.
